I decided I wanted to make Chocolate Chip Cookies since I THOUGHT we had all the ingredients. Jim and I walked into the kitchen and started collecting all the ingredients off of the Original Nestle Toll House Cookie recipe and placing them in a pile on the counter. Somehow the brown sugar we both recall being in the pantry just the other day sprouted legs and ran off because it was no where to be seen.
How the hell do you make Chocolate Chip Cookies without brown sugar?!
I got on Google and asked ‘how do you make chocolate chip cookies with brown sugar?’ and THIS recipe came up. It calls for honey instead of brown sugar. PERFECT! Luckily Jim had a HUGE container of honey handy. Not to mention, honey is much healthier than all that brown sugar.
They came out AWESOME and I’ll probably replace brown sugar with honey from now on. They tasted terrific and the texture was even better than the Nestle Toll House recipe and we all know how delicious those cookies are.
Give the recipe a try! It’s worth it. =D

Yummmmm!
So good! Can’t wait to replace more ingredients with honey in the future! =D
I love honey….so I’ll have to try these for the little munchkin when he starts to eat treats….
I’ve always been a honey fan and never thought to replace ingredients with it. Healthier and yummier, how can you beat that?! Thanks for stopping by!
Yum!
Want one? *passes you the plate of cookies*
I’ve never heard of doing that before! For sure going to try this.
I didn’t know if it was going to work at first but I’m SO happy with the outcome. I love the texture of the cookies with the honey, fluffy rather than runny. They came out perfect. Definitely try it =D
These look and sound delicious! I have a friend who (for health reasons) subbed honey for sugar in most of her baking and it’s been a huge success!
HUGS and Happy Weekend to you two!
I love the idea of subbing honey for sugar and plan on doing it often in the future. HUGS! Thanks, Carolyn!
